  • For a bike service or MOT in Manchester, try Mr Pig's. Ask for Ian. He did a great job on my bike and I can honestly say I rode away noticing a world of difference. I particularly value his honest, no-nonsense approach. Call him on 0161 272 6088. Other contact details should be on the http://www.mrpigs.com.
  • If you get a puncture you could try a company called The Cavalry. A friend of mine used them recently and was very pleased with the service replica Breitling. A guy arrived on a bike laden with gear and fixed the problem at the roadside in 1/2 hour. The number is 07974 260 311. They may only be available near London though.
