The actual number on the battery doesn’t have the dots and has more digits, but I was told by Acer that this is what’s required when purchasing a battery.
You can’t get an “original” battery from Acer any more, because the laptop is so old, but there are aftermarket ones available. I’ve read that you should try and find one that uses Japanese cells because they’re said to be more reliable. I bought the following one from a supposedly reliable seller on ebay…
