How to start sshd on OS X

To start sshd on OS X (on Leopard on a Mac Mini in my case, though I doubt it makes a difference):

System Preferences -> Internet & Wireless section -> Sharing icon -> tick Remote Login.

You should now be able to ssh and scp to the computer. It uses port 22 by default.
