- Indo-European Languages – Tutorials for fourteen languages, as well as Linguistics, English grammar, and the History of English.
- geeklawyer.org – Articles about law. They've also got an interesting blog.
- World66 – A travel guide written by travellers. It looks good, but I'm not entirely sure how accurate it is, given that it claims the weather in Manchester never rises above 20 celcius.
- retrievr – An experimental service which lets you search and explore in a selection of Flickr images by drawing a rough sketch.
- Digital Cameras - A beginner's guide – Basic guide to digital camera technology.
- National Rail – UK National Rail. Journey planner, maps, etc. If you want to find out which stations are nearest a particular location, you're best off using Up My Street.

- uSwitch.com – Calculators to help you determine which suppliers are best. It does pretty much everything - phone, broadband, utilities, loans, banks, digital tv, etc etc.
- Switch with Which? – Energy calculator could help reduce your bills by determining which supplier is best.
